Police are still conducting investigations into the murder of Tapiwa Makore (7) who was murdered in Murehwa recently.

To date about three people have been arrested in connection with the matter.

However, whereabouts of the head of the deceased still remains a mystery.
On Tuesday police visited another Makore relative in Damofalls, Ruwa where they conducted rigorous searches after getting a tip off that the relative was hiding the deceased’s head in his yard.

However, the police could not find the head, contrary to social media frenzy which alleged that the head had been found.

In a statement, national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations are continuing.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police has not recovered any skull in relation to the late Tapiwa Makore’s murder investigations. The public should take note that the police are doing routine investigations which include searches for any evidence related to the murder case.

“Contrary to social media frenzy, no head, arms or body parts have been recovered in the ongoing searches. The public will this be kept apprised on the progress of investigations,” Asst Comm Nyathi said.
